Sridhar was born and brought up in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. His father is a drama artist. Sridhar got interested in dancing since young and entered film industry in the year 2001. Disha’s father Sridhar Reddy on Saturday faulted Tollywood director Ram Gopal Varma (RGV) for making a movie on the death of his daughter without his consent. Speaking to the media in Hyderabad, he stated that RGV should have approached him before producing the film.
To a question, Sridhar stated that he had filed a petition in the Telangana High Court requesting to stop the release of the Disha movie and to remove the trailer from YouTube and other social media platforms. He alleged that the RGV has made the movie to earn money.
